In the upcoming Nov. 30 City Council Administration City will propose an increase in the municipal income tax from 1 January 2012. This increase is not insignificant, given the fact that the expected rate rise from 0.25% to 0.8% or the maximum allowed by law.
Taking reference to the taxable income for the purposes of additional IRPEF Cavriago of citizens in relation to the year 2008, data collected over the site of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the stock of revenue that will pass into the coffers of the City would increase from approximately € 300,000 to just over € 1 million, a net increase of almost 700,000 euro. If you report the exchange rate on the specific case of an employee, for example, on revenue of € 20,000 per year, the surcharge that the work will have to pay to the City would increase from 50 € to 160 € per year.
Now, we say for the umpteenth time, we are fully aware that the cuts in government transfers to local authorities are seriously threatening the financial sustainability of the services provided by municipalities. In this context, socio-economic problems caused by the crisis, however, you can not ignore the fairness of the policies that the government bring into the field. From this point of view the additional IRPEF è un’imposta assolutamente iniqua perché colpisce proporzionalmente (e non progressivamente) i redditi, in particolare quelli dei lavoratori dipendenti e dei pensionati.
La nostra richiesta is, as usual, fall on deaf ears. Today we understand that the Administration had preferred a different route, the more unfair.
