Gennaro Oliviero comes from a family of long tradition at PSI socialista.Iscritto since '75, started his political activity in the context of the Italian Committee of Young Socialists (FGSI) in 1977. In 1985 he was elected City Councillor Sessa Aurunca.
From 1990 to '93 was Deputy Mayor of the City of Sessa Aurunca, with responsibility for Finance, Heritage and taxation, while the 1997 to 2000 he held the same position with responsibility for Human Resources, Municipal Police, and production activities Commerce.
Promoter of the "Committee for Public Security," Sessa Aurunca was President of the City Council from 2002 to 2005. Regional Director elected in 2005 is currently Chairman of the Council Chamber of the Socialist Party and Deputy Regional Secretary of the Italian Democratic Socialists of Campania.

"Regulation of de facto unions", "Establishment of the Agency of Regional Development of Campania", "Provisions in materia di confezionamento e commercializzazione del pane", "Modifica ed integrazione alla L.R. n. 2/2005”, “Affidamento, conservazione e dispersione delle ceneri derivanti dalla cremazione dei Defunti”, “Regolamento di amministrazione e contabilità del Consiglio Regionale della Campania”.
Ha inoltre presentato i seguenti emendamenti:
al piano Ospedaliero regionale 2005-2007, riguardanti la Conferenza istituzionale della Sanità provinciale, la classificazione e le linee di indirizzo per la modulazione dell’attività ospedaliera, ed inoltre emendamenti inerenti finanziamenti e contributi rivolti ai piccoli comuni fino a 15.000 inhabitants.
Busy for to change the "Regional Plan of the Mines" and the 'establishment of a Regional Observatory on the incidence of cancers in polluted sites, "he successfully proposed the amendment to the regional financial 2007 which established the 'ATO5 "Terra di Lavoro" and has recently lodged for debate in Council, the regional Bill for the establishment of Regional Park "Monte Maggiore, Monte Monaco and Monte Fossa (Ce) ".
